While shopping online can be completely relaxing, it can also drive you insane with hundreds of websites and products to choose from. Narrow it down with this list featuring some of my favorite go-to websites for beauty, fashion and inspiration.

Ruelala.com is the place where online shopping meets sample sale heaven. An invitation-only website, members can shop through numerous premier-brand boutiques. You must be invited by an existing member to join, but once you do, you have complete access to designer clothes, accessories, house wear and even vacations. Each boutique is online for a limited time and most items get sold out extremely quickly. This is the perfect website for people who love finding discounted items and the feeling of impulsive (but necessary!) shopping.

There are also several other sample sale websites, such as gilt.com and ideeli.com. All three websites offer amazing deals, ranging from 30% to 80% off retail prices!


Net-a-porter.com is an online luxury fashion retailer, with over a dozen well-known and high-end fashion designers. This is a website for the fashionistas out there who can afford and desire some of the season’s hottest looks and accessories. From Alexander McQueen dresses to Mulberry bags, browsing this website will definitely feel like you’re flipping through the pages of Vogue. Everything about this website is designer, from the outfits to the packaging!


Birchbox.com is an amazing website for all you who are beauty-product-obsessed out there. Each month, members will receive a box of beauty samples, ranging from several different beauty categories. The boxes usually contain 4-5 different samples, ranging from skincare, makeup and hair products. The best part about the website is that it’s only $10 per month (plus shipping)! Each member can fill out a beauty survey to help determine what kind of samples will best be suited for her skin and hair. The samples range in size and effect but they are all worth $10! It is a great website to get you out of a beauty rut and to discover new products.


Retailmenot.com is a source for online coupons and discount codes. All you have to do is search the site for the store or retailer you are buying from and enter the code into the checkout page. It also gives you the ratings of each coupon left by visitors, showing you which ones are most likely going to work and which are popular. While not all codes and discounts will work, it is a great website to help you save when shopping online!


CupcakesandCashmere.com is a fashion blog launched by Emily Schuman, where she shares her insanely amazing fashion sense, DIY home décor ideas and yummy recipes. This website has a little bit of everything, with a personal touch! It is a great website for those looking for inspiration on elegant but edgy outfit ideas and home designs. It is also a great place to go for people who are interested in writing a blog but don’t know how or where to start! Emily also has a list of several other amazing and must-read blogs on her webpage. Cupcakes and Cashmere is a personal insight into the mind of a chic and stylish woman, who has slowly been taking over the fashion blog world.
