ATTENTION ALL RIRI FANS! The highly anticipated music video for Rihanna’s latest single, “We Found Love” dropped earlier than expected and does not disappoint.
The song alone is just an incredible dance pop song, but the video takes a dark look at love and substance abuse.
“We’ve never done a video like this before. This is probably one of the deepest videos I’ve ever done,” Rihanna said. “It’s all about love and love being like a drug, you definitely get that from this.”
The video was directed by Melina Matsoukas (who also directed “S&M” and “Rude Boy”) and was filmed in Ireland. “We Found Love” features Rihanna’s rumored beau Dudley O’Shaughnessy where they are seen skating, kissing (numerous times) and partying. All the love then dissolves by fights, especially the one in the car and drug rampages. And, in the end, all of it becomes too much for the couple and the frustrations and pressures of their love affair begin to become more about the rush than the actual love. In the end, they can't handle one another, and Rihanna walks out, leaving Dudley passed out on the ground, unable to do anything to win her back.
Rihanna plans on releasing her sixth album on November 21, so make sure to pick up your copy of “Talk That Talk.”
