Three and a half years into my college career and I have barely gotten around to buying clothes with my school logo and name. The reason I hesitated for so long was because I didn’t think I would actually wear the pieces since they lean more on the casual side and my style is more along the dressy. Nevertheless, on a school spirit binge I decided to go for it and purchased a few items that I have been loving.

Here are some tips to making your university apparel look uber chic:

T-shirt: Go for a black or white shirt with the colored logo or school name. The black or white neutral background makes it more wearable than a bright color. The T-shirt will look great paired with a cardigan, skinny jeans and flats. Or throw on a black blazer for a chic class look.

Another shirt alternative is to purchase a bigger size or a men’s shirt and cut out the neck hole, which creates a unique off-the-shoulder top that will look great paired with leggings and boots or with shorts during the summer.

Sweatshirt/Hoodie: The bottom line is if you attend a college you have to own a school sweatshirt - it’s an unwritten requirement. The best way to sport your school hoodie is with leggings and cozy Ugg boots for the ultimate comfy yet cute class outfit. And of course you can’t go wrong pairing your hoodie with jeans and your favorite Converse sneakers.

Accessories: Some other ways to show your school spirit is with more subtle accessories that are cute and, more importantly, useful. My favorites are keychains, on-the-go coffee mugs and reusable water bottles that you can carry with you on a daily basis and will also you save you a few dollars by bringing coffee and water from home.
