‘Tis the season for holiday parties! Parties are the perfect way to see old friends and family that you may not get to see all year round. While you're chatting it up with high school friends, or maybe just your aunt and uncle, show your festive side though your nails! Let's be real: red and green eye shadow is not always a great look. But red or green nails instantly look chic! Here are some great colors to paint on for this year's holiday season.

Berry or Wine

These dark colors add instant drama to your look without looking like you stepped out of Hot Topic. Black can be too harsh, especially if your skin is really pale like mine! This berry color is a great alternative for those of us who like the idea of dark polish, but aren't fully committed to the idea yet.

Gold

Gold is another great color for the holidays - especially New Years! If you are all about sparkle and shine, then gold or silver polish is the perfect choice for you! Depending on what you're wearing, you can choose any shade of gold from a pale metallic gold, to more of a yellower shade.

Red

Red is a classic shade that continues to be in season after season! With a black dress, red polish can look super chic and sophisticated, but it also looks great paired with a cozy sweater and skinny jeans! This season, why not go all-out and choose a bright red polish, as opposed to a deeper brick red. The color will stand out and look super festive!
