With only so many days left to soak up the sun, why waste one more second stressing about your makeup? Just when you think you’ve mastered the perfect beach day look, here comes the even trickier part: turning around and glamming yourself up for those steamy summer nights. Switching from day to night makeup is as easy as 1, 2, 3, and we’re going to show you just how to achieve the perfect day and night summer face.
The beach look
Whether you’re hitting the beach, going to your dream internship, or relaxing poolside, the day makeup vibe should be simple and easy-going. No one wants to cake on makeup when the summer sun is not so forgiving - it can melt your look right off. During the daytime your skin is naturally dewy, so you don’t need to pile on the foundation. In order to maintain an even skin tone, "barely there" foundation and a hint of bronzer will do the trick. A favorite? { Maybelline Mineral Power Bronzer }
Don’t forget the blush! Add just a little to the top of your cheekbones for that perfect sun-kissed glow. { NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush
}
As far as the eyes go, less is more! So add your favorite touch of gold or bronze shadows to your eyes for that natural sparkle. These colors literally flatter everyone. { Maybelline Plush Silk Eyeshadow, Give Me Gold
}
Next, swoop on your perfect mascara to balance sexy and sweet eyes. { CoverGirl LashBlastFusion Mascara }
The night look
Now for the night time...whether you have two seconds after the beach or forever to get ready, achieving the nightlife look is easier than you might think. Bring the drama by adding a touch more makeup so you are party-girl perfect for the evening.When the sun goes down, your skin is probably dehydrated from a day’s worth of fun in the sun. The best thing to do is to add a tint of moisturizer to keep it refreshed.
For face shaping without surgery, you can highlight your best features. Take a highlighter and dust it on your cheekbones, the tip of your nose and between your nose and upper lip. This will give you immediate radiance and glow!
How do you let the boys at night know that you’re elegant and fun without saying a word? Rock smoky eyes, of course! Because you can look a bit more dolled-up at night, smoky eyes are the perfect touch of elegance to your look. The key to the smoky eye is by applying two shades, one light base and a darker hue. Apply the lighter color to the lid and the darker shade to the crease, and you’ve got it! It’s really that simple! Then don’t forget to blend, blend, blend. Any eye brush will do the trick.
For a more dramatic look, you can add black liner to your top and bottom lashes. Start light and go heavier toward the corners. If you’re into the “kraze,” think very Kardashian-esque for this dark look.
If you want a touch of blush, rub on cream blush along your cheeks. Then lightly dust a bronzer over. You don’t want to add too much blush at night because bar and night lights are darker; there’s no need to overdo it.
Top your look off with some creamy peach lip gloss. With smoky eyes, the rest of your makeup should be less fierce. Just like that, you’ve transformed your makeup from day to night. Now have a blast with these looks, gorgeous!
Love it
