Nail Trend: Summer’s Pastels Transformed for Fall’s Palette

Earlier this year, Essie introduced us to its lovely new line of pastel polishes. Check out Scrangie’s blog for a great description of the Art of Spring collection.

If there is something Essie does well (and they never do anything wrong), it is that they always produce endless shades of colors. Have a scroll through their selection and you will see what we mean...

Just as summer in the fashion world brought us ladylike lavenders and other pretty pastels, fall at Essie brought us six new shades: Pop Art Pink, Lilacism, Neo Whimsical, Van D’go, Tart Deco and Red Nouveau.

If these must-have colors couldn’t persuade you to bathe your fingernails in the brights of summer, then Essie’s ever-creative names will. Needless to say, their line for fall is just as persuasive.

Essie’s latest collection consists of six new shades for your fingers to flaunt while you’re out enjoying autumn’s playground. The colors are Bikini So Teeny, Cascade Cool, All Tied Up, Off the Shoulder, Fear or Desire, and (our personal favorite) Mojito Madness. See them all here.

The best thing about Essie’s collections is that they correspond so well to one another. Say, for instance, you loved wearing Tart Deco in the summer but want to transition into fall; no problem! Pick up a bottle of the fall flavor Off the Shoulder and you’re good to go.

Essie is not the only polish manufacturer to follow suit from summer to fall color. China Glaze, Butter London and Nars all have new summer collections for you to get your hands on...

Under the Boardwalk - China Glaze

China Glaze got funky with neons for this season; take a look at their eight appropriately named beachy shades.

Trout Pout - Butter London

Butter London’s five newest shades are so versatile that there is no discerning between summer and fall -- you can wear all five colors for either season.

Trouville - Nars

Nars Cosmetics took their polishes and paired them with makeup to create a complete look for the season; here’s spring and summer.

Basically, you have never-ending options of neons and bright colors to paint onto your fingers and toes. Fall polishes are all over the runways and websites, so take the plunge into the new season!
