The time is here -- cooler temperatures are swiftly coming in. As you pack up your summer daisy dukes and gladiator sandals to make room for pea coats and Ugg boots, prepare to put your bathroom mirror into overdrive as you try these fall hair trends.
Bangs
With fall comes the excuse to wear hats -- a girl has to keep her ears warm, you know? But that doesn’t mean your tresses underneath can’t get any attention. Try opting for bangs this season, which are sure to give that hat your grandmother sent you just the fashionable edge you need. If a big chop isn’t on your agenda, opt instead for loose curls. Either way, don’t forget to trim to keep your hair healthy.
Lowlights
While the summer heat caused a rage of blonde madness (i.e. Miley Cyrus’ platinum tryst), level out your mane with darker strands. If you’re feeling adventurous, try deep maroon hues to go along with the changing leaf colors. Beware: Depending on how drastic your color change, you may have to dye your eyebrows too. If that is not something you’re willing to do, consider highlights first or maybe ombre.
Headbands & Turbans
For the past two fall and winter seasons, knit headbands and turbans have become a much-followed trend among college girls everywhere. If you prefer these over hats, don a curled ponytail instead of wearing your hair down. For a hipster look, wear loose waves and place a knit turban over the crown of your head like a halo.
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your tresses for fall, try out one of these ideas. Have you started incorporating fall trends into your hair-styling routine? Leave a comment below letting us know your favorite autumn-inspired looks!
