The College Girl's Guide to Game Day Makeup

Whether you’re into football, baseball, basketball or soccer, dressing up for your team is one of the best parts of the game. You get to rep your colors and show your cheering face while having a great time in the stands. Keep reading to see how to create a fun game day look for your eyes, lips and face.

Eyes

The eyes are a great place to rock your team colors because you can get away with bolder colors like green, orange or yellow without looking too overdone.

Need some inspiration? Head to YouTube! Emilynod83 is a beauty and makeup guru on YouTube who has come out with some makeup looks that incorporate team colors. Her secret to the perfect look is finding your team's two dominant colors and then blending them to perfection. Check out her channel here to get some awesome game day inspiration!

Lips

Lips can be tricky when it comes to color. A great makeup rule to follow is that when you have a bold eye look, try to keep the lip simple. If you have a plain eye look, then go for a bold lip. If your team colors incorporate red or even purple, try wearing a statement lip to the game.

For those of you who are uber fans and want to get a little wild with your makeup, go ahead and use your team colors on the lips. Who says you can’t have a little fun? Choose two colors and apply the lighter one all over the lips. Just add vertical stripes of your secondary color to create some contrast. With this look be sure to keep the eyes simple, otherwise you’ll look a little too overdone.

Face

A great way to finish off a sports look is to use face decals on one or both of your cheeks. These can be found on campus, at various sports stores or online. They are especially great if you’re in a rush. With this look you don’t even need a bold eye or lip to show who you’re rooting for. Just apply to the apple of the cheeks and you’re good to go!

So show us your game face! Try out the different looks and get creative with it. Game days are meant to be fun and a little crazy, so be sure your makeup says the same!
