Red Carpet to Real Life: Get Carrie Underwood's CMA Awards Look
‘Tis the season for music award shows, and the CMA Awards are one of the music industry’s biggest. This year’s proceedings brought out some of country’s finest to walk the red carpet in Nashville, including five-time co-host Carrie Underwood, who looked stunning in a white Reem Acra dress with gold-accented floral detailing.
Carrie’s gown is definitely red-carpet worthy with the sheer floral overlay contrasting perfectly with the pristine white dress. The sheer panel is on trend for fall, as is the floral motif. The singer’s sparkling gold earrings and clutch add some shine to her look but let the dress stand out as the focal point. Her soft curls echoed the romantic vibe of the gown, and simple smoky eyes accented but didn’t overwhelm.
1. Denim Jacket from Hollister, $59.50
2. Gold Tank Top from Forever 21, $19.80
3. Earrings from Forever 21, $4.80
4. Flats from Delia’s, $49.50
5. White Jeans from J. Crew, $115.00
6. Glitter Wristlet from Delia’s, $14.50
This glamorous look can become real life ready with just a few tweaks, starting with swapping out the white gown for a pair of white skinnies. A shimmering gold tank top shows off a little skin just like Carrie but still keeps things daytime (or nighttime) appropriate. Dangling gold earrings, a glittering wristlet and gold studded flats add even more glam factor to this outfit while still keeping things fresh and easy. This look is topped off with a light-wash denim jacket that keeps things casual, but it can easily be substituted with a blazer to dress the outfit up!
Carrie’s red carpet look is glamorous and daring and is very on trend with the floral detailing, sheer panel and her metallic accessories. Changing this dress to denim makes this look wearable for everyday, but it could easily be dressed up as well. Top it off with some romantic curls for day and a smoky eye for night like Carrie did, and you have a red-carpet look ready for anytime!
