The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion show is always a spectacular event full of fabulous outfits, and the celebration afterwards is no exception. After rocking the runway, many of the models hit the after party’s pink carpet for a little more posing. Most chose to wear solid skin tight minis, so Victoria’s Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes’ black and white patterned Balmain dress really stood out.

This is a really fun dress with the different patterns working well together and displaying a perfect execution of the pattern mixing trend. The monochromatic color scheme is simple and clean, and Doutzen really lets the dress stand out with very minimal jewelry, a simple black and silver belt and a pair of cut-out black heels. She tops it off with fresh-from-the-runway hair, smoky eyes and some signature Angel posing.

To dress down Doutzen’s party dress, start with a cozy sweater in a black and white print that echoes one of the patterns in her look. Thrown over a black mini dress and tights, this look is casual but polished at the same time. A silver studded belt is a nod to the thicker one Doutzen is sporting and adds a little something to the plain black dress. Diamond studs and a simple bracelet in a mixed metal serve as simple accessories, and black combat boots substitute nicely for Doutzen’s lace-up heels.

This look is simple and fun and keeps the eye busy but doesn’t overwhelm it. The black and white is a classic combination, and a bold pattern makes things interesting. The real life version of this outfit is just as fun and cozy, too! Easy to throw on, the monochrome black keeps the look clean, but subtle details like the belt and boots add interest, and the cardigan pulls it all together. Wear it with a smoky eye like Doutzen, or keep the makeup simple, but don’t forget the Angel attitude!
