Four Reasons You Should Drink More Water

Water is one of the best things for your skin. It is not only beneficial for your insides, but your outsides as well. The human body is made up of mostly water, so it needs that supply replenished daily. Water keeps you healthy and helps remove toxins and waste materials that can make you sick. It also helps supply nutrients to the cells, muscles, organs and bone structure. There are several ways you will benefit from drinking enough water every day.

1. Hydrated Skin

Drinking the recommended amount of water (8-10 glasses a day) will guarantee hydrated, healthy-looking skin. The more water you drink, the less dry your skin will be. Keeping hydrated is not only important for your skin, but your well-being, too. Dehydration can cause headaches, fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth and much more. You’ll have fewer blemishes and clearer, supple skin.

2. Energy Booster

Water is the best kept secret for energy. It sounds a little skeptical, but water keeps you alert and focused. Don’t wait until you’re dying of thirst to drink water, because you could be mildly dehydrated and not even know. Next time you feel tired, drink some water.

3. Skin Toner

Water is a natural skin toner. Your body naturally fills cells with water, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles, cellulite and flabby skin. Water alone won’t reduce all skin dilemmas, but combined with a healthy food regime and exercise, you’ll definitely see improvement over time. Keep it tight!

4. Weight Loss

If you want to lose a few pounds, try substituting more water for less sugary drinks. Water helps suppress your appetite, boosts your metabolism and keeps you full longer. People often confuse hunger with thirst. Sometimes you may feel hungry, but actually you could just be thirsty. Sip on some water first and see how you feel after.

Forget the sugar-loaded, unhealthy energy drinks and soda, and guzzle some water. If you don’t like the plain taste of water, you can always add fruit or mint leaves to it. Hydration beats dehydration any day, and that’s a fact.
