“When we were very young, my sister and I were constantly putting on shows and singing,” Miasha said. “While the grown-ups were finishing dinner, we would make up dance routines and lip sync to the Spice Girls or Backstreet Boys.”
Music has been a part of Miasha’s life forever: “I was exposed to a lot of great female singers, from Barbara Streisand to Annie Lennox,” she remembers fondly.
As Miasha got older, her love of music grew with her, and she “would often go into [her] room, dim the lights and use a hairbrush as a mic, pretending to be a star.”
With all the passion Miasha has poured into music, it’s no surprise she was ecstatic when she released her single, “Everybody’s Beautiful.” The song is about “celebrating that uniqueness we all have,” Miasha said. “This world can be very cruel at times, but it is all about perspective. People often feel vulnerable when they dance, but when people watch other people dance, they feel happy, and they see beauty and honesty. In many ways, it is saying that the things we think make us imperfect are actually the attributes that make us the most beautiful. It’s not a new concept, but I really loved using ‘dance’ as the vehicle to deliver that.”
The tune is powerful, upbeat, peppy and great for dancing. But don’t let us have all the fun listening to Miasha’s music! Check out her track here.
Miasha has big plans for many music endeavors in the future. She hopes her career takes off in the next five years so she is able to make music and perform for thousands of fans.

M: When I was younger, I won Team Gold and Individual Silver for the North American Young Riders Equestrian Show Jumping Competition.
What is the best part of being a musician?
M: I love going into the studio with my piece of paper with scratch lyrics and notes and tons of production ideas scribbled all over it ... working with such incredible producers and co-writers and musicians … and within hours, making those ideas come to life. Blows my mind every time.
What is your advice for aspiring artists?
