The series is about a college graduate, June (Dreama Walker), who moves to New York City from Indiana when she lands a job at Wall Street. Upon her arrival, her new position and the company have been completely obliterated by the market crash. Along with her job, her fancy apartment has been taken from her fingertips! She was so close to having a perfect life.
She stumbles upon an ad looking for a roommate. Enter Chloe (Krysten Ritter), the tall, sophisticated, brunette New Yorker. June moves in without any reservations and slowly finds out that she is living with a scheming party girl!
During her first week in New York, Chloe kisses June’s fiancé and steals her money, totally conning her in first month’s rent. Chloe habitually cons new roommates and makes their lives impossible, in the hopes that they move out.
Poor June ends up working as a barista at a coffee shop and becomes Chloe’s accomplice for the havoc she wreaks!
Although Chloe teaches June the ropes of living life in New York in an extremely unorthodox way, it turns out the Chloe is not so evil and ends up saving June’s life. June’s fiancé was a cheater and a liar! No matter how evil Chloe is, a part of you actually wishes you were her. She is extremely likable and charming. It is safe to say that we are obsessed with Krysten Ritter.
And did we mention, James van der Beek, aka Dawson from Dawson’s Creek, is also part of the main cast? He plays a parody of himself as Chloe’s best friend. OMG, we die (in a good way) watching him every week. We won’t spoil any more deets for you, but hopefully the trailer convinces you to tune in now that June and Chloe have inevitably become best friends!
You won’t regret catching up -- this is a perfect break from watching crude dramas like "The Walking Dead" or "Dexter." They are the two friends every girl should have, the psycho party girl and the voice of reason!

I like that Chloe is not afraid to say the things that would make most girls cringe. Vibrators, cocktails, and one night stands. Almost like SATC but without the boy drama yay!
