Even though warmer weather is just on the horizon, hot chocolate is still a favorite of mine. And there’s nothing better than mint white hot chocolate! The best part is that it’s as simple to make as regular, homemade hot chocolate. This delicious recipe makes four servings, so bring along a few extra mugs for your girls or keep it warm for later.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups half and half cream
- 8 oz. white chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp. peppermint extract
- A few drops of green food coloring (optional)
- Marshmallows (optional)
First, heat the milk and cream over medium heat in a heavy-bottomed pot for five minutes. Then, stir in the white chocolate. After the white chocolate is completely stirred in, remove the pot from the heat and set it aside for a few minutes.
After the pan has cooled down a bit, add in the peppermint extract and the food coloring. Whisk the two ingredients in until the drink is smooth. Then, add in as many marshmallows as you wish (the more the merrier!) and drink your new concoction right away!
