Every year Earth Day is the one day out of the year we are able to reflect on our impact on Earth and make a conscious effort to reduce, reuse and recycle. And who says that we should leave out our makeup routines? Below are five different products that are all 100 percent organic for a gorgeous Earth Day look that will leave your conscious, as well as your skin, clear.
Concealer: Begin by applying an organic concealer under the eyes and on any blemishes or redness around the face. Afterglow’s Organic Aloe Infused Concealer ($28) comes in four different shades and blends seamlessly into the skin. For a natural look, this concealer can also double as a light foundation. Blend a little bit of it with your facial moisturizer, and it can act as a tinted moisturizer.
Foundation: For more coverage, use a foundation with full coverage and a satin finish. 100% Pure’s Healthy Skin Foundation ($32) contains super fruits as well as being 100 percent natural, vegan and gluten free. Blend the foundation on with a stippling brush for a flawless finish.
Blush and Highlighter: Finish off the face with a highlighter instead of a powder blush. Juice Beauty’s Irresistible Glow Facial Highlighter ($22) will give a slight flush of color to the cheeks as well as hydrate and highlight the cheekbone.
Lip Gloss: Complete the look with a natural pink colored lip gloss. Bare Minerals 100% Natural Lip Gloss ($15) is 100 percent natural and preservative free while retaining high color payoff and lasting hydration.
Mascara: Keep the eye look as basic and natural as possible with a few coats of mascara. Physicians Formula 100% Natural Lash Boosting Mascara ($10) will lengthen lashes without drying or flaking. If you need more definition, take an angled eyeliner brush and use your mascara as a gel liner. Wing out the product on the edges of the eyes for a beautiful cat-eye look.
This Earth Day, which is April 22nd, keep your makeup look natural and 100 percent organic. With this routine you will be sure to look as fresh-faced as Mother Nature herself! In the rest of your daily routine, be sure to recycle as well as use a reusable water bottle instead of plastic, and be sure to give back to the Earth in some way!
