Fashion week was in full swing around the globe this spring, and from New York to Paris, each show sent out seriously stylish looks, perfect for fall. But before the dark colors and warm layers of fall arrive, it’s time to live it up in sunny spring style! Cotton recently held a 24-hour fashion show in Miami celebrating just that, with models walking the runway in looks (1,440, to be exact) from a huge number of brands, with outfits fit for every occasion. Hosting the event was actress Camilla Belle, who looked fresh and fun in a Cotton-friendly ensemble.
Camilla looked ready for anything in a mesh French Connection dress and printed Christian Louboutin wedges, proving that simple can go a long way when it comes to clothes. The classic A-line silhouette of this dress gets a little attitude with a navy mesh overlay over a coral lining, which gives this look a bright pop of color that’s perfect for spring. A fun pair of printed wedges add a little playfulness to the outfit, and since the pattern is in such a small dose, it doesn’t overwhelm the look. A simple braided belt ties Camilla’s outfit together, and a few armfuls of bracelets definitely never hurt anyone.
1. Earrings from Charlotte Russe, $6
2. Jeans from LoveCulture, $19.90
3. Shirt from J. Crew, $49.99
4. Wedges from Payless, $19.99
5. Belt from Delia’s, $12.50
6. Bracelets from Lulu’s, $11
7. Bag from Zara, $49.90
The bright lining of Camilla’s dress just screams orange skinny jeans, a fun statement piece for this look, perfect for spring. Paired with a navy gingham button down that mimics the mesh pattern of the original dress, this outfit is sweet and simple, much like Camilla’s. A brown braided belt comes directly from Camilla’s look and adds a classic element, helping to bring in a neutral color to balance out the bright jeans and patterned top.
A structured bag also in a neutral brown is an everyday essential and makes room for a pair of printed wedges to show off without overwhelming with too much pattern. Simple gold hoops like Camilla’s add a nice metallic accent to this look, and a few fun bracelets are a good way to start your own arm party. Finish this look off with a sleek ponytail like Camilla did, or work some loose curls to get a carefree springtime vibe!
